Second Opinion
Man, the doctor at University of Chicago was such a sweetie, I wanted to hug him. So was his nurse assistant. His opinion was do a closed reduction surgery. When she’s knocked out, they inject a special dye and X ray her to see if the ball goes in the socket right. If there’s too much tissue there for it to stay in good, then they do the open reduction.
So.

Option A. Open Reduction at Children’s Memorial with Dr. Meanguy
PROS
- Recommended by pediatrician
- Already scheduled there
- Closer to home
- Less time in cast (10 weeks)
- Less chance of having to do osteotomy (additional surgery)
CONS
- Doctor is kind of a dick
- Invasive surgery has more risks and is icky/scary to me personally
Option B. Closed Reduction at University of Chicago with Dr. Niceguy
PROS
- Less invasive surgery
- People nice
CONS
- More time in cast (4 months)
- Still a chance of having to do open reduction and/or osteotomy (additional surgery
- Major delay/pain in the ass to switch over
- Farther from home
